Empire State Winter Games
| The 2018 Empire State Winter Games is a multi-day sports event hosted in Lake Placid, New York, from February 1 – February 4. In its 38th year, the Games will bring together athletes from across New York State and beyond to compete in over 30 winter sports events. The 2017 Games included more than 2,100 athletes of all ages, including master divisions, and the 2018 Games are expected to exceed that number. The huge, multi-sport event is coming out of the gate bigger and better than ever. This year there will be more competitors, a centralized village, a Jumbotron to watch it all on, and it`s all kicked off by a relay torch run that begins in Manhattan and ends in Lake Placid. Combine all of that with good food, craft beer, and events happening across several Adirondack communities, and the Games start to look more like a celebration of winter than the intense competitiveness they`re known for.
