There is a fully applianced kitchen for preapring meals to dine at home, a large living room with fireplace and the enclosed sunporch/den that spans the length of the house facing the lake presents guests with opportunity to relax in comfort while watching lake activity throughout the day and gazing at the stars in the evening. The deck with outdoor furniture and grill beckons guests to get a bit of sunbathing in or to take advantage of sunny days for dining outdoors. The private dock allows visitors to enjoy time swimming in Mirror Lake or launching a kayak available for guest use to cruise across the waters and when the lake freezes in the winter you will find another whole set of activites right outside your doorstep! Bring your ice skates to step down onto a cleared path that will run the outer circle of the lake edges to glide across the ice, cross over to enjoy a friendly game of hockey on a cleared "beach" rink or take the fun ride down the toboggan chute.
The sidewalk out in front of the home will lead you on a short and scenic lakeside walk in either direction to reach a playground park with public beach and tennis courts, the Olympic Arenas, several venues, eateries, pubs, shopping, Mids Park with lots of year round entertainment and there is even a historic multi- theater movie building! If you care to venture out further you will find all kinds of hiking, golf, biking, boating, fishing, snowmobiling, rock climbing opportunites, museums, natural attractions, Whiteface Ski Mountain and more! Lake House offers a Maximum of 5 parking spaces for guest use. The Town of North Elba, Village of Lake Placid has adopted new Short-Term Vacation Rental Regulations that include rental parking limitations for the maximum number of motor vehicles allowed on property. Parking is NOT permitted on any part of the lawn or on any part of a sidewalk and like other communities the ordinance asks that you obey all regulations when parking in public.
